Beginning Ballet

Mondays 4:30 to 5:15PM • 45 MINUTES

Beginning Ballet (ages 5-8 years) is a fun way to learn the basics of ballet with a balance of creative movement games and structured learning. As a dance form Ballet encourages proper technique, posture, and muscular strength. Dancers are introduced to the positions and names of dance steps, basic French terminology, and musicality. Ballet provides an understanding of dance terminology, which is used in other forms of dance. This class is the next progression from Pre-Ballet & Tap combo or for those brand new to dance class. Registration is for the whole session from Aug 12th to Dec 21st and the semester culminates in an informal showing at the studio.

Beginning Dance Medley

(Tap, Jazz, & Ballet)

TUesdays 4:30 to 5:30PM • 60 MINUTES

This class is a fun way to learn the basics of Tap, Jazz and Ballet with a balance of creative movement games and structured learning. Tap encourages development of musicality and promotes coordination and rhythm and Jazz is high energy and focuses on body isolations, jumps, and turns. These two forms are also blended together with the graceful and elegant form of Ballet. All together this promotes self-confidence, body awareness, and coordination with a well-rounded taste for multiple dance forms! This class is the next progression from Pre-Ballet & Tap combo or for those brand new to dance class. Registration is for the whole session from Aug 13th to Dec 17th and the semester culminates in an informal showing at the studio.

Beginning Dance Medley w/ Experience

(Tap, Jazz, & Ballet)

Thursdays 4:30 to 5:30PM • 60 MINUTES

This class is a fun way to learn more intricate steps in Tap, Jazz and Ballet with a balance of creative movement games and structured learning at a quicker pace. Tap encourages development of musicality and promotes coordination and rhythm and Jazz is high energy and focuses on body isolations, jumps, and turns. These two forms are also blended together with the graceful and elegant form of Ballet. All together this promotes self-confidence, body awareness, and coordination with a well-rounded taste for multiple dance forms! This class is the next progression for students who have already taken Beg. Ballet, Beg. Dance Medley, Beg Hip Hop & Jazz, or Beg Tap & Jazz. Registration is for the whole session from Aug 15th to Dec 19th and the semester culminates in an informal showing at the studio.

Beginning Hip Hop & Jazz

WEDNESDAYS 4:45 to 5:30pm • 45 MINUTES

This class explores the fun and upbeat dance forms of hip-hop and jazz, performed to popular music. Learn beginning high-energy hip-hop moves and dynamic jazz dance elements. There is a strong focus on rhythm and improvisation, as students develop strength, musicality, and confidence. Registration is for the whole session from Aug 14th to Dec 18th and the semester culminates in an informal showing at the studio.

Beginning Tap & Jazz

Saturdays 11:00 to 11:45AM• 45 MINUTES

This 45min dance class combines learning beginning Jazz Dance Technique and Tap Dance Technique! Jazz dance is high energy and focuses on body isolations, jumps, and turns, and is blended together with tap dance essentials. Tap encourages development of musicality and promotes coordination and rhythm. This class is a fantastic way to dance to popular music, have fun, and be creative! Registration is for the whole session from Aug 17th to Dec 21st and the semester culminates in an informal showing at the studio.
